No segundo em que tudo muda, urge a procura do significado da existência, na tentativa de perceber o impercetível.

As emoções, essas saem pelos poros numa necessidade alquímica.

Transmutei-as nas minhas narrativas visuais.

Dor e drama. Esperança e superação.

Mónica Silva (1972), natural do Porto, vive e trabalha em Vila do Conde.

Na sua prática artística cria, através da pintura, mundos femininos introspetivos, cheios de simbolismo e algo surrealistas, num convite à criação de narrativas por parte do observador.

I arrived to painting in duality, brought about by events that I could not control.

The second everything changes, the search for the meaning of existence is urgent, in an attempt to perceive the imperceptible.

The Emotions, those come out through the skin, searching for a kind of alchemy.

I transmuted them into my visual narratives.

Mónica Silva (1972), born in Porto, Portugal, lives and works in Vila do Conde.

In her artistic practice, she creates, through painting, introspective feminine worlds, full of symbolism and a little surrealist, in an invitation to the observer to create his own narratives.
